Middle School Highlights

• Benchmark measures in place to monitor students academic growth
• Special Education and English Language Learning Services are available to students who demonstrate needs in these areas
• After-school programming opportunities include Math Club, Homework Club, Leadership Club,STEAM Club, Science Olympiad, Art Club and Battle of the Books

Appealing Curriculum

Reading

We believe reading is the gateway to learning and there is no more important homework than reading. In order to achieve excellence, whether in sports, or the arts, practice is critical. The same applies to reading; daily reading practice is imperative to becoming a good reader. We will utilize the Amplify CKLA curriculum in fifth through eighth grade as our core curriculum.

Mathematics

We believe in teaching mathematics with an emphasis on problem solving while still keeping a focus on basic facts and skills. We utilize the New York Engage Math Curriculum in fifth through eighth grade as our core curriculum.

Enrichment Opportunities

We believe in the importance of educating the whole child. To accomplish this, we value the special subjects of art, music and physical education. We also place an emphasis on technology and promote the use of technology in our instruction.

School Management

We have school wide expectation to be respectful, responsible, and safe. The PBIS system allows us to celebrate the positive traits our students, staff, and community exhibit. Please refer to our student handbook for more specifics on our behavior management plan.
