The Elk Mound Area School District

The Elk Mound Area School District has a population of about 1130 students. The district has three school buildings; Mound View Elementary for pre-K through grade four, Elk Mound Middle School for grades five through eight, and Elk Mound High School which houses the ninth through twelfth graders. The district is made up of parts of the town of Union in Eau Claire County, Towns of Wheaton and Howard in Chippewa County, and Towns of Colfax, Elk Mound, Red Cedar, Spring Brook, and the entire Village of Elk Mound in Dunn County.

The Elk Mound Area School District staff is a group professional and paraprofessional educators focused on our district’s mission of helping our youth become responsible citizens who seek to contribute to our society in positive ways. We have a broad range of employees. Most staff members work under a 38-40 week timeframe that parallels the school year. Administrators, custodians, and district level office staff work year-round.
